TEDxSFED Lead up: Design Thinking At Zeum
Zeum held a fast-paced design thinking workshop for educators as a lead up to TEDxSFED tonight. We ran through the design process in lightening speed, interviewing in partners and then rapidly prototyping ideas and finally sharing with the group. It was a lot of fun to see how others unfamiliar with the process dive in and come out at the end with their minds whirling with possibilities of how to take back what they learned to their classrooms or work environments.
Thanks to Ben Grossman-Kahn, the TEDxSFED coordinators and Zeum for facilitating the event (and for providing a feast of treats to set the mood).
After a long day of presentations we are very excited to move forward with our project IMPACT Skyline!
During the next few months we will be researching, designing, prototyping and finally implementing three different components to help drive collaboration among the teachers and administration at Skyline High School. We feel that collaboration is a key ingredient to innovation, and will work to empower the teachers at Skyline High School to become agents of change at a time when nothing short of transformation is needed.
Along with our project, two other interdisciplinary teams of students from CCA will also be implementing innovative solutions for social transformation. Congratulations to team Social Craft and Wazo Design Institute!
